Interview Invitations and what to do

By this time, residency programs are getting ready to send most interview invitations. If you don't receive an invitation by October 1st, I would do the following, in that order:
- e-mail the program, asking if the application is complete, if it has been reviewed, and when to expect a decision, since you are planning to travel soon
- Wait for at least 3 business days
- Call and ask the same questions

If you have not gotten an interview so far (by mid-September), I would apply to more programs. The most competitive applicants have already been invited for at least one interview. Act before it gets too late.
