Interviews: a few travel tips

For those of you that are now scheduling and planning your residency interviews, I have a few tips:

- To get the best fares, use Priceline. If you can use the smalle companies that do not publish their prices on Priceline, you may get an ever better deal: JetBlue and SouthWest are two good companies.
- Always have 2 sets of clothes that you will use for the interview, and carry it in different bags. If one bag gets lost, which is not uncommon, you will still have an outfit.
- The night before the interview, go to be early, and do not consume alcohol. You have to show your best face to your interviewers.
- You may carry with you some papers you may have authored, a copy of your diploma, medical school transcript, visa, passport if necessary and ECFMG certificate. They may want another copy.
